Well, a lot of the folks here really enjoy the sport...I am one that didn't even know the ball was juiced a time or two over the last few decades, but that's just me.
Suppose it's no different than militarists discussing the significance of Stalingrad, or the all American Debate on the economy some had a few months back...folks will get back to DEAD biz soon enough I imagine.

on the other hand, constantly pushing the link to ur forum, without any topic selected, may look like spam and can b irritating, although its 100% dead related
being from across the water, i dont give a shit about either baseball or us football, so i ignore those threads

If it isn't stated I don't whether they're talking about baseball, US Football, or Pancake Tuesday. It doesn't bother me that it appears here - it's all part of the Big Conversation that is this Forum. To misquote 'What do they know of Grateful Dead who only Grateful Dead know ?'
In my personal Fantasy League England were not out for 51 runs last week, and they took the 10th wicket last night.

Did I miss the thread about Pancake Tuesday? Again? Damn it.
I never realized the appeal of cricket until i was invited to go day 2 of England vs. Pakistan in 2006. The match was interesting once I learned the rules however the drinking was outstanding. Unparalleled in my sporting experience.

I do have other things in life than the GD, including things that are just as nerd-centric as Fantasy Baseball... I play D&D, to this day... and I read tons of history, particularly military history. I could recite more useless trivia about WWII than you could imagine.
I also enjoy shooting and going to the beach with my dog. Sometimes shooting dogs at the beach... wait, cancel that.
I also enjoy a fine glass of red wine with some cheese or chocolate. And a nice pair of slacks.
Anyhow, of course the poll was a joke to begin with... sometimes I am the only one who gets my humor.
I tried playing fantasy baseball once when I was a kid, never really got into it though.

not funny at the time, after I'd torn the rug out, went under the house looking :(
he also had a friend call others that he'd been in a bad car accident, and needed blood. 3 people went to the hospital and actually donated blood, then he appeared and said "praise Jesus! I've had a miraclulous recovery" (well, it was april 1st)...this is a true story

What's worse is folks who get bent out of shape over what other people post, either as a new thread or as a reply. This applies to many folks, and I've been guilty myself. When it gets down to it, this is a public forum and folks can post whatever the hell they want. Unless the thread is something like "Why I think Hitler slept with your mother", who really cares? Dead related or not, other site related or not, if you don't like it, don't read it. So as far as I'm concerned keep tossing up the link to the pub and keep on talking baseball. So, let's not attempt to single out one Francis, there are many here and we all could do with some lightening up.
